Do you test on animals?

No, we never test our products on animals. We've always tested them on friends, family, thousands of customers and other enthusiastic volunteers who were excited about trying out new products.

Are Oliva Soap "cruelty free"?

We do not use animal products that result in the death of that animal for the primary use in making our product. All our soaps are vegetable oil based.

I have sensitive skin and can't use most soaps. Will I be able to use yours?

Yes, most likely you will be able to use our soaps because they are incredibly mild and gentle. Most commercial soaps are detergent based, using lots of synthetic ingredients, and that's what usually causes skin reactions. That's very different from how we make our soaps. We don't use any artificial colorants, hardeners, latherers or preservatives.

Does natural soap make a difference?

Organic Soaps Are Rich in Antioxidants
The presence of more antioxidants on natural soaps rejuvenates the skin and helps in slowing down the aging process. Also, the pH level of organic products is between 9 and 10. It means that it is gentler on your skin and it makes the skin less prone to irritation.

How long is natural soap good for?

Average bar of homemade soap: Many natural homemade bars of soap should be good for up to 3 years. Old-fashioned soap made using just lye and lard: These simple bars of soap may last 5 years or more.

What are the benefits of natural soap

There are several benefits to using natural soap, including:

  • Natural Soap is Highly Moisturising

  • Better Ingredients Used

  • Cruelty-Free and Animal-Friendly

  • Unique, Handmade Product

  • Better for the Environment

  • Rich in Antioxidants

      Does natural soap really clean?

Now, you might think you need the strongest possible antimicrobial or antibacterial soap to keep your hands germ-free, but that's just not true. Regular soap — including natural soap — will get your hands just as clean as soaps containing biocides and pesticides.

      Is natural soap safe?

Natural and organic soaps are made from nature-derived ingredients that help your skin to stay soft, and moisturized without any added toxic chemicals. They're also better for the environment, as nothing unnatural will enter the water stream when that soap goes down the drain

Is Natural soap better than regular soap?

Natural ingredient soap preserves the integrity of the oils, fats and butters used while making the soap. This means that what is put into the soap during the soap-making process is what you get when you use it. In the end, it is obvious that organic soap is much healthier and better for your skin overall.

How do you store natural soap?

Caring for Your Soaps

  1. Store soaps not in use in a covered container. Soaps not in use should be stored in a covered container that allows air circulation, and in a cool, dry location

  2. Store similar scents together

  3. Use a soap dish that offers drainage (e.g. slotted) so the soap can dry between uses

      Does natural soap remove bacteria?

Natural soap is already antibacterial as it loosens the bacteria and viruses on your skin and washes them away when you rinse the suds off your hands.

Can you use natural soap on your face?

Natural soap contains no nasties and because it's kinder to skin, it's absolutely perfect to use on the delicate facial area too. Mass-produced soaps can contain chemicals that are known to dry out the skin and leave it irritated and sore – which is why many people over the years have avoided using it on the face.

      What does natural soap mean?

Natural soap means all ingredients are derived from plants. That's the standard we use when calling our own soap “all natural.”

How do I stop my soap from cracking?

The secret to avoiding cracking is to make sure the bar isn't left sitting in water between uses. We recommend storing your bar soap in a dish with ample drainage to allow the bar to completely dry between uses, out of any direct water streams.
